How to KYC (Level 1)

To really enjoy what Severus has to offer, you will need to KYC (Know Your Customer) your account. 


Firstly, if you haven't already done so, you'll need to sign up for an account with Severus. This article will guide you through the process: How to sign up on Severus


Once you've signed up and logged into the platform, follow the below steps to KYC to Level 1.


  1. After logging into the Severus platform, click on Profile > Verification > Next step.




  2. You should now be on the Level 1 Verification screen and see the following. To continue, click/press Start Journey.



  3. If you're viewing Severus from your laptop/computer, you will be presented with a QR code. Scan this with the camera on your phone to continue. Alternatively, if you're viewing Severus on your mobile device, pressing "Start journey" should automatically start the KYC process.

  4. Follow the on screen prompts, which will request for your identification document, a liveness selfie check with your camera, then lastly for your proof of address
    1. Note that for your identification, we accept smart ID's, passports and drivers licenses.

  5. Once completing the KYC journey, just sit back and relax. Severus will take it from here and will get back to your within 48 hours to verify your documentation. If for any reason your KYC application was rejected, a reason will be provided.
